Track Worlds present Schedule for Berlin
Berlin. The organizing committee for the 2020 UCI Track Cycling World Championships Berlin presented by Tissot and the World Cycling Association UCI introduced the preliminary time schedule last week. The title fights next year will take place in the Velodrom Berlin from 26th of February until 1st of March. There are 20 titles to be fought over on five days of competition.
Kick off is on 26th of February with the qualifications in 4000m Team Pursuit. The first medals will be awarded in the women Scratch race on the very first night. There are five decisions to be made on Friday night – men: Points race, Kilometre t.t., Individual Pursuit and women: Omnium, Sprint. On the final day of competition the last titles to be fought over are the Madison race with the local heroes and world champions Theo Reihnhardt / Roger Kluge competing and the women’s Keirin race. Also the final of the kids race will take place on that day.
“I think we created a very balanced time schedule. Especially in the evening sessions one highlight follows the other. And even apart from the track there will be a lot to see and experience in the Velodrom Berlin.” said Burckhard Bremer, project manager of the 2020 UCI Track Cycling World Championships Berlin presented by Tissot. The ticket sale started on 30th of April and until 31st of May there is an Early Bird discount of 10% off the tickets.
